- Practice Time and Fees
MKD holds Adult+Kids classes every Tuesday & Thursday from 7 – 9:30PM
Our monthly fees are $50 per adult (18 and above) and $40 per youth (under 18) – Please pay the last week of the current month for the next month’s dues.
- Enrollment
We accept new students on the first Tuesday and Thursday of the month. Please email macombkendodojo@gmail.com for more enrollment information.
- All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF) Fee
We strongly encourage all members join the All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF). The AUSKF annual fee covers liability insurance, as well as providing for access to all AUSKF sponsored events, seminars and tournaments. The AUSKF annual registration fee is $30 for children 17 and under, and $60 for adults, with a one-time administration fee of $10. Registration can be made directly at:

- Equipment
If you would like to join, we can supply you with shinai (wooden sword) while you determine your level of commitment. You can wear comfortable athletic clothes if you do not have a uniform. If you would like to purchase a uniform (kendogi+hakama) you can do so at any time at any of the online shops listed below:

- Further information
In general, we have beginners in separate classes for about 3 – 6 months (depending on progress), and the sensei can give you suggestions on when you may be ready to progress to wearing Kendogu (armor). No need to worry about Kendogu(armor) in the beginning, but feel free to browse at the above links, as it is definitely something to look forward to!
